What is the impact of Aisha's action of wiping over only part of the head, and the ruling on adopting it for ease, and why does Imam Ibn Hanbal differentiate between men and women in this regard without any textual evidence for it?

It was reported from Aisha that she wiped her entire head, and from Ibn 'Umar that he sufficed with wiping part of the head, and the Tabi'un followed him in that, such as 'Ata' who permitted a woman to wipe the front part of her head under her khimar. As for Imam Ahmad, he has two narrations regarding a woman wiping her head: the first is equating her with a man in comprehensive wiping, and the second is the permissibility of wiping part of it as a concession to her, even though the more preponderant opinion is wiping the entire head, due to the absence of a sound and explicit proof to the contrary. Sheikh Ibn 'Uthaymeen holds that the general principle in Islamic rulings is equality between men and women, so she should wipe her head from front to back, without pressing forcefully on the hair.
