The question

What should you do if impurity gets on your foot, knowing that washing it and then walking on the carpets might make the foot impure again, due to doubt about the house becoming impure as a result of family members entering the bathroom without shoes and a female child urinating in the room's hallway?

The answer

The original state of the bathroom floor is purity, so do not rule it to be impure unless you are certain. The ground and what is connected to it become pure through drying, according to many scholars. If you are not certain of the presence of impurity, then the original state of places and footwear is purity. If you are certain of the presence of impurity on the floor and it has dried, then many scholars have ruled it to be pure, and a wet foot does not become impure by touching it. If the impurity is still present, it is sufficient to pour water over it to purify it. Discard obsessive thoughts and do not pay attention to them, for indulging in them leads to great evil.
