The answer

A fasting person must abstain from eating and drinking at the appearance of the true dawn, based on the Almighty's saying: ﴿And eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread [of night]﴾. So, if a fasting person eats after the call to prayer by the muezzin who calls at the entry of the time, then he has broken his fast and must make up for it. However, if the muezzin calls to prayer before the entry of the time, there is no harm in eating during the , as the criterion is the appearance of dawn, not the adhan. And whoever eats after the entry of the time while ignorant of the ruling must make up for it, because he was obliged to ask the people of knowledge.
