What is the ruling on performing Tawaf and ختم القرآن (reciting the entire Qur'an) on behalf of deceased relatives?

It is better not to pray, circumambulate (perform tawaf), or recite for the deceased due to the lack of evidence. However, it is legally permissible for a Muslim to give charity on behalf of their Muslim and non-Muslim relatives, to supplicate for them, and to perform Hajj and Umrah on their behalf. Some scholars have permitted praying, circumambulating, and reciting for the deceased by analogy with charity and supplication, but it is more cautious to refrain from doing so.
