Is it forbidden not to go to Hajj because it clashes with exam dates?

If the conditions for Hajj eligibility are met by the questioner, she must hasten to perform the obligatory Hajj this year, because Hajj is an immediate obligation according to the preponderant opinion. She may encounter obstacles in the future that prevent her from performing it, or it may not be feasible for her father to accompany her. Missing an academic year is less significant than missing the obligation of Hajj, which is a pillar of Islam. Ibn Qudamah stated that Hajj is an immediate obligation, citing as evidence the Almighty's saying: "And Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah) to the House (Ka'bah) is a duty that mankind owes to Allah, those who can afford the expenses (for one's conveyance, provision and residence);" and His saying: "And complete the Hajj and 'Umrah (definition) for Allah," and the Hadith (definition): "Whoever intends to perform Hajj, let him hasten."
