The answer

Wiping and kissing the Black Stone is prescribed as an act of worship to Allah and an emulation of the Prophet ﷺ. However, seeking blessings from it with the belief that it transfers blessings to the one who touches it is a forbidden innovation (bid'ah). It may even reach the level of minor or major shirk if one believes it can inherently harm or benefit. All blessings come from Allah Almighty; He is their source and granter, and they should be sought only from Him. Places and things described as blessed by Islamic law are a means for blessings, not givers of them. They should be utilized in this manner without seeking tabarruk (personal blessing) from them.
