Is it permissible for women to perform the funeral prayer in public areas other than the graveyard?

It is permissible for women to pray in the courtyard, and they will be rewarded for it. What is forbidden is for women to follow funeral processions, based on the saying of Umm Atiyyah: "We were forbidden from following funeral processions, but it was not made a strict prohibition for us."
