What is the ruling on eating meat available in the Czech Republic, given the unavailability of halal slaughter and the consequent fear for the family's health?

An animal slaughtered according to Islamic law is permissible to eat if the slaughterer is a Muslim or a person of the Book (Christian or Jew). However, the animal slaughtered by an idolater, an atheist, a Magian, or an apostate is not permissible. It is a condition for the animal slaughtered by a person of the Book that it be slaughtered according to the Islamic method; otherwise, it is considered carrion. The animal slaughtered by a non-scriptural disbeliever is not permissible. One should be keen to consume meat slaughtered by a Muslim whenever possible.
