As for temporary contraceptives, they are permissible to achieve a benefit, such as the mother's health, and there is no objection to using them with the intention of sustainability, as they do not definitively prevent pregnancy, as indicated by the prophetic hadiths. Nevertheless, Islamic law encourages a large progeny.
