The answer

The madhy (pre-seminal fluid) has no smell, unlike semen, which has a smell like palm spathe or dough. If what you discharge has the smell of semen, then you must perform ghusl (ritual bath). But if it is madhy, then you must wash the area it affected on your body and clothes. It nullifies wudu (ablution) but does not necessitate ghusl. If you cannot distinguish whether it is semen or madhy, then you may choose between the two.
