Is it permissible for the same congregants to repeat the prayer for the deceased?

The jurists permitted praying over the absent deceased (Salat al-Gha'ib) for up to a month after their burial. However, if the deceased is in the same town and has not been prayed over, it is permissible to pray at their grave. They based this on the of Ibn Abbas, which states that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, prayed at a fresh grave, and the hadith of the black woman who used to clean the mosque, over whom the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, prayed after her burial. It is not prescribed to repeat the funeral prayer for someone who has already prayed it once.
