Is it permissible for a woman to stop praying during the five days exceeding her usual menstrual period due to taking birth control pills?

The menstrual period may shift, and its days may change. If it shifts, the woman should not pray or fast for the duration of the bleeding. The period may decrease or increase. She should not pray for the duration of the bleeding, up to fifteen days. After fifteen days, the majority of scholars consider any excess to be irregular bleeding (istihadah (definition)). In this case, she should return to her known habitual period, and any remaining bleeding is considered istihadah, during which she prays and fasts. She should perform ablution for each prayer time, clean herself, and take precautions.
