The answer

Donating the reward of reciting the Qur’an to the deceased is permissible according to the majority of scholars. However, a permissible act may become an innovation if certain things are introduced to it, such as dedicating the recitation of a specific at a specific time, or reciting it in congregation, or hiring someone for it. Designating the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha for the deceased after every prayer is not permissible, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever introduces into this affair of ours anything that does not belong to it will have it rejected."
