One must completely shun everything related to it, even if the intention is to advise or condemn, due to the weakness of the self and the danger of falling into sin. Ibrahim ibn Adham said: "Frequent looking at falsehood removes the knowledge of truth from the heart." Your intention might not be pure, and nothing compares to safety. Occupy yourself first with reforming yourself and purifying your heart, for others are already fulfilling the obligation of condemning and advising.
