Is it permissible to carry a small Mus'haf and read from it at gatherings and during a journey, with the intention of avoiding temptations and benefiting from the Book of Allah?

Carrying the Mushaf (definition) for reading is a good and rewardable act, but its bearer should observe the manners befitting the Book of Allah. Persevering in its recitation, even at gatherings and assemblies, is considered an invitation to goodness. A Muslim should strive to make their actions sincere for the sake of Allah the Almighty, for Allah guides whom He wills, and others may be influenced by what they hear from the Book of Allah. For "that Allah guides a single man through you is better for you than red camels."
