Is it permissible to offer a free advertisement for a product, with the condition of paying a sum of money if the number of views exceeds 500,0 within a month? Is this permissible (halal) or forbidden (haram)? And what modifications would make it permissible?

The aforementioned offer is permissible and falls under the category of ju'alah (a contract of reward). Its essence is that you are not entitled to a reward unless you achieve 500,0 views for the advertisement. The reward must be specified, and it is not permissible to use deception to reach the required number; rather, what is required is the dissemination of the clip for it to be viewed. It is also stipulated that the advertisements must be free from anything forbidden. Ju'alah is "to stipulate a known sum for someone who performs a known or unknown task, for a known or unknown period." It does not require knowledge of one of the two compensations. The difference between it and ijarah (definition) (leasing/hiring) is that ijarah involves a specific individual, unlike ju'alah. It is a permissible contract due to the need for it.
