Is it permissible to celebrate Laylat al-Qadr by preparing food in the mosque?

It was part of the Prophet's guidance, peace and blessings be upon him, during the last ten nights of Ramadan (definition), which include Laylat al-Qadr, that he used to "keep vigil throughout the night and awaken his family," as narrated by Al-Bukhari. Reviving these ten nights in a manner not revived by the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his Companions, is considered an innovation (bid'ah), based on his saying, peace and blessings be upon him: "Whoever introduces into this matter of ours that which is not from it, it will be rejected." Thus, it is feared that whoever performs such a celebration may have deprived himself of benefiting from a night that could be Laylat al-Qadr, by engaging in an action therein that is rejected from him, and this is a clear loss.
