What is the ruling regarding a husband returning to his wife after divorcing her with three consecutive pronouncements, knowing that he had divorced her twice previously and returned to her based on a fatwa, and he is regretful and wishes to take her back?

When you divorce your wife for the third time, she becomes irrevocably separated from you (baynunah kubra), and she is not lawful for you until she marries another man in a valid marriage wherein consummation takes place. If that man then divorces her, it is permissible for you to marry her again with a new contract and dowry, based on the Almighty's saying: (Divorce is twice. Then, either keep [her] in kindness or [send her forth with] good treatment) and His saying: (And if he has divorced her [for the third time], then she is not lawful to him afterward until she marries another husband. And if he [then] divorces her, there is no blame upon them for returning to each other if they think that they can keep [within] the limits of Allah).
