Is the young man required to pay anything from the dowry's advance or deferred amount, and is he entitled to claim the gifts and jewelry he presented to the girl, if he decides to dissolve the marriage contract by divorce before the wedding due to discovering the girl's relationship with another young man?

Efforts should be made to reconcile the spouses by convincing the wife to abandon the forbidden relationship with the foreign man, and by warning her that seeking divorce without a legitimate Shar'i reason is a sin. If the wife repents and becomes upright, then she should be advised to remain in her husband's marital bond. If she persists in seeking divorce, then her husband should divorce her. In this case, she is entitled to half of the agreed-upon dowry if no consummation or legitimate privacy occurred; otherwise, she is entitled to the full agreed-upon dowry or a customary dowry.
