Is written communication with women via email or Facebook considered adultery? Is befriending them on Facebook forbidden, given that all conversations are written and rarely audio or visual? What is the ruling on dealing with female colleagues out of necessity, whether by phone or in person? Is a wife entitled to prevent her husband from speaking with women, claiming it is forbidden? What is the ruling on a husband being forced to speak with girls because his wife refuses to please him in different positions?

It is not permissible for a Muslim to establish a friendship with a foreign woman or to converse with her unnecessarily, as this leads to temptation and corruption. This falls under the principle of sadd al-dhara'i' (blocking the means to evil) which the Sharia came with. Conversing with a foreign woman may be considered zina (fornication/adultery) if one derives pleasure from her voice, which is the zina of the ears. This is not actual zina, but it is a means to it. Likewise, written conversations can lead to temptation, flirtation, and promises, for Satan leads to indecency step by step. Allah has warned against following his footsteps: "O you who have believed, do not follow the footsteps of Satan. And whoever follows the footsteps of Satan - indeed, he enjoins immorality and wrongdoing." (An-Nur 24:21). Speaking with foreign women at work is no different from other situations; it is permissible out of necessity, to the extent of that necessity, and with adherence to the Sharia controls. A wife has the right to prevent her husband from conversing with them. As for the husband's justification for conversing with them due to his wife not pleasing him, this is a flimsy excuse, as it is not permissible for him to converse with them even if he did not have a wife. It is permissible for a husband to enjoy his wife however he wishes, as long as he avoids the menstrual period and the anus. It is not permissible for the wife to deny him what Allah has made lawful for him from her.
