How is the legal waiting period (iddah) calculated for a woman whose husband divorced her three times, then took her back based on an erroneous fatwa, and after she became pregnant by him, he admitted that the marital intimacy was unlawful, knowing that the original waiting period began two months before the pregnancy?

The husband has fallen into forbidden acts such as lying about Allah and the people of knowledge, deceiving and lying to his wife, which led her unknowingly into adultery, in addition to committing adultery and considering forbidden sexual intercourse permissible. He must repent. The wife should not have believed him after the third divorce and should have refrained from him until she verified the matter with trustworthy people of knowledge. Her waiting period (iddah) is the delivery of the child in her womb, and it is not permissible to marry her before she gives birth. This is the view held by Ibn Qudamah, Malik, and Abu Yusuf, and one of the two narrations from Abu Hanifa.
