What is the ruling on performing ablution (wudu') when there is dead skin on the soles of the feet, and must it be removed before ablution?

A person is not obliged to search and inspect for dead skin. If it is found after ablution (Wudu') and it is probable that it occurred after purification, then it is attributed to the nearest time it could have occurred. One must close the door to obsessive doubts (waswasah) and not give in to them. If removing dead skin causes hardship or harm to the person, then its removal is not obligatory. However, if it is considered detached from the body, its removal is not difficult, and the person is certain of its presence, then it must be removed, and water must reach what is beneath it.
