What is the ruling of Islamic law on those who seek to separate two people who love each other for the sake of Allah through discord and defamation with false accusations? Engaging in discord among Muslims and accusing them of things they are innocent of is a sin, slander, and a clear wrongdoing, as Allah Almighty says: "And those who harm believing men and believing women for [something] other than what they have earned have certainly borne slander and manifest sin" (Quran 33:58). The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever says about a believer that which is not in him, Allah will make him drink from the pus of the inhabitants of Hell until he comes out of what he said, and he will not come out of it." The perpetrator must repent, seek forgiveness, and rectify what he has corrupted, while also distancing himself from evil companions. Those who love each other for the sake of Allah must adhere to the rulings of Sharia and avoid situations of suspicion.
