It has been previously explained that the ruling on writing novels and stories depends on their content and the intention of their author. Mentioning birthdays, New Year's Day, or other Christian holidays in the events of a novel, if not done in a manner of glorification, exaltation, or affirmation, does not appear to necessitate prohibition.
