The answer

It is a Muslim's right upon his brother to fulfill his oath, and this is especially true for a husband. If the wife is unable to fulfill her husband's oath due to forgetting her email password, there is no sin upon her, for Allah Almighty says: "Allah does not burden a soul beyond its capacity." Renewing another email and opening it for the husband does not fulfill the oath, because the husband did not swear by it, but rather by the original email which the wife was unable to open. Therefore, the husband must forgive his wife and expiate his oath by feeding ten needy people or clothing them or freeing a slave. If he cannot find [any of these], then he should fast three days, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I do not swear an oath and then see something better than it, except that I expiate my oath and do that which is better."
