Contemporary jurists have discussed the issue of artificial insemination and have agreed to prohibit all its methods except for two permissible ones:

1. Taking sperm from the husband and an ovum from his wife, fertilizing them externally, and then implanting the zygote into the wife's uterus. 2. Taking the husband's sperm and injecting it into his wife's vagina or uterus for internal insemination.

The Fiqh Academy affirmed the permissibility of these two forms when there is a need, with caution, and prohibited donating an ovum to another woman due to the mixing of lineages, emphasizing adherence to the required number of fertilized ova.
