Is it permissible to perform Jumu'ah prayer at a late time, such that only a few minutes remain before the entry of the 'Asr prayer time, which might lead to missing the post-Jumu'ah Sunnah prayer?

The time for Friday prayer (Salat al-Jumu'ah) is the same as the time for Dhuhr prayer according to the majority of scholars. It is preferable to perform it promptly at the beginning of its time, as soon as the sun declines. This is what the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his Companions used to do. It is permissible to delay the Friday prayer past its early time if there is a need or benefit, provided that it is completed before the time for Asr prayer begins.
