Is it permissible to deduct a portion of the agreed-upon weekly salary due to a sudden official holiday that led to not completing the usual working days?

The basic principle concerning the lease contract is its binding nature. It cannot be unilaterally terminated except for a valid reason. The impossibility of continuing due to an epidemic is considered a valid excuse for terminating the lease, in which case the rent is due for the days worked and not for the remaining period. The Islamic Fiqh Council is of the opinion that a lease may be terminated due to general emergencies that prevent the utilization of the leased benefit, a view also held by the Hanafis and others.
