The answer

The meaning of the aforementioned has been previously explained; it is authentic. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was gentle in his address to women and spoke to them according to their intellectual capacities. The meaning of his description of women as deficient in religion is due to their abandoning prayer and fasting during menstruation.

Religion (deen), faith (iman), and submission (Islam) share a common meaning. Acts of obedience are called faith and religion. Therefore, whoever increases in worship, their faith and religion increase, and whoever decreases in worship, their faith and religion decrease.
