What is the interpretation of the noble verse in Surah Hud (108): "But as for those who were made happy, they will be in Paradise, abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except what your Lord wills — a gift without interruption"? And does the exception in it mean anyone leaving Paradise? And what is the wisdom behind the existence of the heavens and the earth after eternity in Paradise? And what is the ruling on saying "Allah the Almighty has spoken the truth" after finishing the recitation of the Holy Quran?

The noble verse indicates that Paradise has heavens and an earth different from the heavens and earth of this world, because they will be replaced, as Allah Almighty said: (On the Day when the earth will be changed to other than the earth, and the heavens) [14:48]. There are many proofs and sayings from the Companions and their successors that confirm this. The Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah (Sunnis) have agreed that Paradise and Hellfire will not perish. As for the exception mentioned in Allah Almighty's saying concerning the people of Paradise: (Abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except what your Lord wills — an uninterrupted gift) [11:108], it may carry two meanings: The first is that it refers to the duration of sinful believers' entry into Hellfire, and the second is a warning against the delusion that anyone deserves this bliss, as it is a grace and mercy from Allah. This exception does not mean the perishing of Hellfire or the departure of disbelievers from it; rather, it is specific to sinful believers who enter it and then emerge from it.
