Fabricating stories to promote products is a forbidden lie and deception, due to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: «Beware of lying, for lying leads to immorality, and immorality leads to the Hellfire», and his saying: «He who deceives us is not of us.»

Similarly, it is not permissible to use a video clip or image of a person for marketing without their permission.

However, a woman appearing in full hijab without softness in speech in an advertisement free from শরعي prohibitions is not forbidden, though avoiding it is safer to prevent temptation.
