Does vomiting nullify ablution?

Some scholars, such as Abu Hanifa and Ahmad (with the condition of a large amount), held the view that vomiting invalidates ablution (wudu'), while Al-Shafi'i held that it does not, and this latter view is the correct one due to the lack of evidence. Sheikh Ibn 'Uthaymeen clarified that anything exiting from other than the two private parts does not invalidate ablution, whether it is a small or large amount, with the exception of urine and feces. He refuted the hadith (definition) about the Prophet (peace be upon him) vomiting and performing ablution by stating that it is weak, and a mere action does not indicate obligation, arguing that the default principle is that ablution is not invalidated.
