What is meant by the statement that a deceased child will be a bird from the birds of Paradise?

Those among the children of believers who die before reaching the age of accountability are, by the consensus of Muslims, among the people of Paradise. It has not been established in the texts that the children of believers will be in the form of birds in Paradise; rather, they will remain in their human form. The hadith about Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and the children around him indicates that they retain their form. The statement of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), "a bird from the birds of Paradise," does not mean they transform into birds; rather, it may mean that in their playfulness and joy, they are like birds.
