The answer

Wahshi ibn Harb embraced Islam after the conquest of Mecca. He arrived with the delegation from Ta'if, and the Prophet, peace be upon him, did not notice him until he was standing before him, bearing witness to the truth. Al-Bukhari narrated the story of Wahshi, his killing of Hamza, and his killing of Musaylimah al-Kadhdhab. After Hamza killed Tu'aymah ibn Adi at Badr, Jubayr ibn Mut'im promised Wahshi manumission if he killed Hamza. At Uhud, Wahshi ambushed Hamza and struck him with his spear, killing him. After the spread of Islam, Wahshi departed for Ta'if and then came to the Prophet, peace be upon him. The Prophet asked him if he was the one who had killed Hamza and requested him to keep his face hidden from him. When the Prophet, peace be upon him, passed away, Wahshi set out to kill Musaylimah al-Kadhdhab, to atone for his killing of Hamza. He struck him with his spear and killed him. Wahshi witnessed the Battle of Yarmouk and died in Homs during the caliphate of Uthman ibn Affan.
