Is it permissible to move the remains of a deceased mother, who passed away more than twenty years ago, from her grave constructed of mud bricks and susceptible to collapse due to floods, to another grave built with red bricks? Or should she be buried in the same spot at a greater depth, knowing that men (her uncle and brother) are buried next to her?

The remains of the woman should be buried in the same place at a depth that prevents floods and keeps scavenging animals from digging them up, if possible. Otherwise, they should be moved to a place where digging is possible. It is not permissible to build graves or construct anything upon them with bricks or clay, due to the prohibition of the Prophet (peace be upon him) regarding that. The deceased is in greater need of supplication (du'a) and seeking forgiveness (istighfar), and construction does not benefit them. Rather, what benefits them is righteous deeds or one of the three matters mentioned in the hadith.
