What is the ruling on reciting Surat Yusuf with the intention of relief from distress, or the removal of worries, or the return of one who is absent?

Reciting the Quran is a means of dispelling worry and sorrow. There is no objection to reciting Surat Yusuf for this purpose, as it is part of the Quran, which Allah has made a healing for people. However, singling out Surat Yusuf for dispelling worry, to the exclusion of others, may give the impression that it is prescribed by the Sharia, which is incorrect. Many innovations arise from such specific designations. We do not know that the Sharia has singled out Surat Yusuf for dispelling worry; rather, Allah dispels a Muslim's worry by reciting any surah from the Quran. Furthermore, reciting the Quran is not a means of bringing back a missing person; instead, a Muslim should supplicate and implore Allah through their righteous deeds.
