What is the ruling on shunning a young man who repented from engaging in an illicit relationship with a girl who embraced Islam because of him, and now wishes to completely distance himself from her for fear that his repentance will not be accepted, and will he bear her sin if she does not marry and becomes miserable because of him?

A Muslim's religion is his capital, and he must preserve it and avoid causes of discord, for Satan strives to mislead man, as Allah Almighty said: "He said: 'Because You have sent me astray, I will surely lie in wait for them on Your straight path. Then I will come to them from before them and from behind them and on their right and on their left, and You will not find most of them grateful.'" If you desire safety, cut off your relationship with this woman, for romantic relationships outside the bond of marriage are impermissible. Her still being infatuated with you does not affect your repentance. Strive to forget the Sharia violations that occurred. As for marrying her, if she embraces Islam, becomes steadfast, improves her conduct, and you hope for good in your marriage to her, then it might be preferable for you to accept marrying her, especially since she is infatuated with you, and perhaps this marriage will help her remain firm in the religion. If you do not wish to marry her, there is no sin upon you.
