How can it be reconciled that Islam will return as a stranger, and that it will reach as far as night and day have reached and enter every house?

This text clarifies that the first Hadith about the strangeness (ghurbah) of Islam is authentic, meaning it began as something rare and will return to that state in the end. The second Hadith is also authentic and indicates the spread of Islam to encompass every place, and that whoever embraces Islam will be honored by Allah, while whoever refuses will be humiliated. There is no contradiction between the two Hadiths. The strangeness may occur in certain times and places, after which Islam returns to widespread prevalence, or it may occur in the End Times, near the Hour. For Allah has promised the spread and triumph of Islam, and this will inevitably come to pass. A temporary strangeness may occur in some times or places before its renewed triumph and spread, just as it was in the beginning of Islam, and then it spread. This does not contradict the existence of a group upholding the truth that remains manifest.
