The question

What is the correct way to feel that Allah Almighty is greater than everything, and is one sinful for imagining a face when Allah's Face is mentioned, or imagining greatness when saying "Allahu Akbar," knowing that these imaginings occur due to whisperings and that "there is nothing like unto Him"?

The answer

A servant is not held accountable for the whispers, thoughts, and imaginations that come to him, because Allah has forgiven this Ummah for what they speak to themselves, as long as they do not act upon it or utter it. The servant must repel these whispers and firmly believe that Allah is far removed from whatever comes to his mind, for He, glory be to Him, is not encompassed by the knowledge of His servants. If this belief becomes firm in the soul, these whispers will not cause harm.
