Is it obligatory to remove newspaper pages containing one of the names of Allah from the streets, whether I am driving my car or a passenger in a means of transportation, or does the sin fall upon the one who threw them?

It is not permissible for a Muslim to discard or desecrate papers and newspapers that contain Quranic verses, prophetic hadiths, or the names of Allah, His messengers, and His angels. Rather, they should be preserved or disposed of by burying them in pure places, burning them, or destroying them with a shredder. Whoever finds such papers in the street with something revered on them must pick them up and preserve them or dispose of them as mentioned. It is not obligatory to meticulously examine papers to ensure they are free of Allah's name, to avoid difficulty and hardship, as Allah Almighty says: "Allah does not intend to make any difficulty for you," and His saying: "And He has not placed upon you in religion any difficulty." And according to the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Indeed, the best of your religion is the easiest of it," and "Indeed, religion is ease." This problem can be solved by averting one's gaze and spreading Islamic awareness.
