The question

What is the religious ruling on accepting a well-paying government job after passing its examinations, knowing that the nature of the current work is respectable and does not conflict with religious duties, and there is a desire for financial independence from the father's support, which comes from an usurious bank, and a desire to remain by the parents' side?

The answer

A woman is permitted to go out to work if the work is permissible, suitable for her nature, and does not involve unlawful seclusion (khalwa), impermissible mixing (ikhtilat), or unlawful travel. If the new job is free from শরীʿআ (Sharia) violations, it is advisable to accept it, especially if the father deals with interest-based banks, until a righteous husband comes who can provide for her. If the husband asks his wife to stay at home after marriage, she must obey him unless she stipulated in the marriage contract that she would continue working. The questioner must advise her father to avoid interest-based transactions with wisdom, while maintaining filial piety and obedience to him in what is good.
