The question

What should I do about my father's rejection of a religious suitor, his insistence on enrolling me in university against my will, his complete rejection of my niqab and his threat to make my mother quit her job, his rejection of my friendship with my neighbor, and his constant blaming of us for our religiosity, especially after my mother boycotted me upon learning of my father's private conversation with me?

The answer

It is not permissible to obey parents in an act of disobedience to Allah. Therefore, a woman is not obliged to obey her father in removing her , nor in attending a mixed-gender university if she fears temptation from it. The mother should be patient and accept her daughter's excuse.
