A woman's decision to marry during her 'iddah (waiting period) is a grave sin that requires repentance and immediate separation from the second husband. This marriage is invalid. The marriage contract must be renewed after the completion of the 'iddah from the first husband, noting that the period of the invalid marriage does not count towards the first 'iddah. Rather, a new 'iddah must be started after the first 'iddah concludes.
