The answer

A Muslim must refrain from cursing any creature, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The believer is not a slanderer, nor a curser, nor an obscene individual, nor an indecent one." It is permissible to curse disbelievers and the corrupt in general, such as saying: "May the curse of Allah be upon the disbelievers." As for cursing a specific disbeliever or corrupt person, the preponderant view is that it is not permissible. And insulting those who commit sins is not permissible in an absolute sense; rather, it is permissible when there is a benefit in it, such as warning people.
