What is the ruling on reciting Surat Maryam to facilitate childbirth?

There is no evidence for the Sunnah (definition) (prophetic tradition) of reciting Surat Maryam to facilitate childbirth. However, the entire Holy Quran is a healing and a mercy for the believers, as Allah Almighty says: "And We send down from the Quran that which is a healing and a mercy for the believers." It is mentioned that some surahs and verses have specific properties for healing. Ibn al-Qayyim mentioned that the first verses of Surat al-Inshiqaq facilitate childbirth if they are written and then dissolved in water for the pregnant woman to drink and sprinkle herself with.
