Does a man's cursing of religion entail the divorce of his wife, and the necessity of repentance, seeking forgiveness, and a new marriage contract?

Reviling the religion, the Quran, or the Prophet (peace be upon him) is apostasy and disbelief. This does not result in the wife being divorced. Rather, they are separated because she is a Muslim and he is a disbeliever, and she becomes unlawful to him until he repents. If he repents while she is still in her waiting period (iddah (definition)), she returns to him without a new marriage contract. If the waiting period ends and he has not repented, she becomes a stranger to him and is not lawful for him except with a new marriage contract, should he wish to marry her after his repentance. If he repents while she is still in her waiting period, she remains his wife.
