What is the ruling on ritual bathing (ghusl) if one forgot to wash a limb or water did not reach it, then the body dried, and is it necessary to repeat the entire ghusl, or is it sufficient to wash the forgotten limb, even if one remembers it after some time?

"Muwalah" (performing the acts of ghusl consecutively without interruption) is obligatory according to the Maliki school, but a Sunnah according to the majority of scholars, which is the more preponderant opinion.

If you forget to wash a limb, or water did not reach it, and you remember after your body has dried, or after two days, it is sufficient to wash the missed limb to complete the ghusl. The ghusl is valid according to the majority of scholars because they do not consider "muwalah" obligatory.

However, the person who did this must repeat the prayers they performed with this incomplete ghusl after completing it. If the deficiency was in the limbs of wudu' and they were washed during the wudu', that is sufficient.
