Does one-sided love, or love for those whose death one did not witness, such as the Prophet, the Companions, and the righteous, fall under the meaning of the hadith "A person will be resurrected with those whom he loves" and the hadith about those who love one another for the sake of Allah?

The aforementioned hadiths are authentic and indicate that a person will be resurrected with those he loves, and that those who love each other for the sake of Allah will be shaded by Allah on the Day of Resurrection. Love for the sake of Allah means that it is purely for Allah, by loving one's brother for his obedience to Allah and his calling to goodness. Those who love each other for the sake of Allah are united by their obedience to Allah and their love for Him in this world, even if they are not in the same time or place. There is great virtue in loving the truth and its people, even if it is one-sided. It is not a condition for benefiting from the love of the righteous that one performs their deeds, nor that one's status and reward be identical to theirs in every respect.
