Is it permissible to work for a commission-based marketing company that allows marketers to increase their commission by paying an annual subscription, and to profit from the sales of new marketers who joined through them without these new marketers having to pay anything?

The annual subscription fee that increases the marketer's profit margin is impermissible due to the elements of Maysir (gambling) and Riba (usury) it contains. However, if no payment is made to the company and no purchase of its products is mandated, then there is no objection to receiving a known commission in exchange for marketing permissible products. This is provided that the 'Ju'l' (commission), if it is a percentage of the profit rather than a fixed amount, is not valid according to the majority of jurists, though it is considered valid in one view among the Hanbalis.
