The "Hand" (Al-Kaff) is an inherent, descriptive attribute affirmed for Allah Almighty through authentic Ahadith (prophetic narrations). Among these is what Muslim narrated from Abu Hurayrah: "No one gives in charity from pure earnings – and Allah accepts nothing but what is pure – but the All-Merciful takes it with His Right Hand, even if it is a single date. It grows in the Hand of the All-Merciful until it becomes greater than a mountain, just as one of you raises his foal or young camel." Another example is the Hadith concerning the dispute of the Highest Assembly.
